Craig L. Brown is a partner in Dechert's global finance practice, focusing on commercial real estate. With over 25 years of experience advising on all aspects of real estate law, Mr. Brown's clients often include prominent investment funds, family offices, homebuilders, developers, hotel operators, money center banks and insurance companies. His practice involves representing clients in the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and disposition of all types of domestic and international real estate assets, as well as structuring complex real estate joint venture transactions.
Mr. Brown is highly skilled at representing clients in acquiring, financing and equity structuring in numerous areas, including: large real estate asset portfolios across multiple jurisdictions, such as motels, nursing homes and rehabilitation hospitals; multi-family residential properties; public-private partnership transactions; and all classes of office buildings, mixed-use office parks, hotels and full-service resorts.
Additionally, throughout his career, Mr. Brown has developed significant experience advising family offices investing in real estate on the debt and equity side. He has established an extensive network of family offices both in the U.S. and internationally, focusing on related real estate transactions. Mr. Brown also advises on restructuring distressed real estate loans for borrowers and lenders, as well as acquiring distressed real estate out of bankruptcy or foreclosure.
Mr. Brown is recognized as a leading real estate finance lawyer in the New York Metro area by Super Lawyers, as well as The Best Lawyers in America in real estate law.
Lindsay Flora advises clients on complex corporate transactions and high yield financings, including leveraged acquisitions, syndicated debt facilities, debt commitments, bridging loans and secured lending. Ms. Flora's clients include leading private equity sponsors and firms, financial institutions, borrowers, lenders and private and public companies. In addition, she provides counsel on a broad range of general financial and corporate matters.
Prior to joining Dechert, Ms. Flora was a corporate partner at another international law firm.
Jonathan Kim represents strategic buyers and sellers and financial sponsors in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. His experience includes both domestic and cross-border transactions spanning various industry sectors including technology, healthcare, consumer services, financial services and business services. Mr. Kim has worked on some of the market's most significant transactions in recent years, including the second largest private equity-backed acquisition in the past three years and the largest private equity exit in 2019, according to Bloomberg.

Gregory A. Schernecke focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, with a particular emphasis on private equity; corporate finance and general corporate matters.
Mr. Schernecke represents private equity sponsors, alternative asset managers and operating companies in complex merger and acquisition transactions across a wide range of industry sectors, including travel and hospitality, life sciences, healthcare, technology, consumer products and financial services and asset management. He also represents companies and investment banks in cross border public and private financing transactions and securities offerings of equity and debt.
In 2014, Mr. Schernecke was part of the Dechert team that received “Standout” recognition in the Financial Times' North America Innovative Lawyers 2014 awards for its representation of the Certares-led investor group in connection with its joint venture with American Express Company for its Global Business Travel division and in 2018, Mr. Schernecke was part of the Dechert team that received “Commended” status from the FT for its representation of Barings in its novel tri-party transaction with Triangle Capital Corporation and Benefit Street Partners. In addition, Mr. Schernecke was named a Rising Star for capital markets: equity in the IFLR1000.
Eric S. Siegel represents strategic buyers and sellers as well as financial sponsors and their portfolio companies in domestic and cross-border M&A and joint venture transactions across a wide range of industry sectors, including technology, energy, healthcare, manufacturing and marketing services. In addition, he advises new and seasoned issuers as well as major investment banks in connection with securities offerings of equity and debt.
Mr. Siegel also advises clients on the full range of general corporate matters, including corporate governance and securities law compliance matters, SEC disclosure filings and the preparation of annual and quarterly reports and proxy statements.
Mr. Siegel was named among Pennsylvania's 2016 “Lawyers on the Fast Track” by The Legal Intelligencer, which celebrates the next generation of great lawyers in the Pennsylvania legal community.
